Michael Livingston Gordon

 Michael “Mikey” Gordon, age 75, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024.

Born and raised in Jamaica, Mikey built a successful career as a salesman with T. Geddes Grant and later as a business owner of Imeru Ltd, a garment manufacturing concern which he operated for over 15 years. In 2001, he emigrated to the U.S., where he nurtured a growing passion for health and well-being, founding LIPHE Juices. He also worked in auto sales and later in transportation, first with C-Tran, then MARTA, where he served for over a decade, and finally with Clayton County Public Schools, for the past 3 years.

Mikey was devoted to his family, cherished his garden, and maintained a focus on promoting healthy living. He found joy in watching soccer and listening to music. His loving and up-beat spirit will be profoundly missed by his wife and partner of more than 45 years, Valerie, his children Camille, Craig, Soyini, Mikhail, Lij, Melissa, and Gabriel; sons-in-law Adrian and Chris, and daughter-in-law Tamara. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Alaqua, Sayla, Jude, Ahmik, Mason, Desire, Michael, Svea, and Brea; siblings Carol, Keith, Patrick, Courtney, Rosalie, Alex, and Denise; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and co-workers.

A celebration of Mikey’s life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Greater Saint Peter AME Church, 9540 Fayetteville Rd, Jonesboro, GA 30238. Guests are encouraged to wear cheerful colors.

Donations and offerings may be made to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, in memory of his grandson Bryson.
